Restaurant Locanda Sant’Uffizio2026-07-03T18:33:33+00:00

Locanda del
Sant’Uffizio

Enrico Bartolini

A sophisticated 2 Michelin-starred restaurant in Piedmont, the Locanda Sant’Uffizio Enrico Bartolini is led by the talented Resident Chef Gabriele Boffa, and celebrates a signature cuisine – a paean to Italian biodiversity inspired by tradition. The proposal is creative yet faithful to the territory, with delicacies exalted by the use of precious truffles and the finest local products.

Immersed in the enchanting scenery of the Langhe-Monferrato hills, criss-crossed with vineyards, and located in what used to be the monastery’s lemon house, the Locanda del Sant’Uffizio is driven by noble principles such as genuineness, seasonality and experimentation. It offers an unforgettable gourmet experience that attracts connoisseurs from all over the region.

Chef Boffa proposes a carefully thought-out menu, played on the measured alternation of memory and contemporaneity, which interprets typical excellent Piedmontese dishes and the authentic flavours of Italian cuisine in a modern key, accompanied by an emblazoned wine list with over 300 top labels stored in the prestigious “Wine theatre” cellar.

Open Tuesday through Friday with dinner-only service, Saturday lunch and dinner, and Sunday with lunch-only service.

Chef
Gabriele Boffa

Gabriele Boffa took his first steps in the kitchen thanks to his grandmothers, excellent cooks, who passed on to him with utmost spontaneity their love for raw materials, for tradition but, particularly, for the territory.
The beloved “Langhe” area, where he comes from, is a real treasure chest of excellent products and a source of inspiration for classic regional specialties but also for innovative dishes that enhance the clear and genuine local flavors.
His numerous experiences abroad allow him to land at the court of great masters of international cuisine, testing new creative techniques and revisiting traditional classics in a totally new guise.
He returns to Piedmont at the helm of the “Locanda Sant’Uffizio” with the desire to bring back to his land and people all that he received in his childhood and training years, preserving the strong identity of the territory but with an approach focused on progress: a winning formula that awarded him his second Michelin star in 2022 and a unique record for an Alba chef.

A complete experience of wine, spa, and fine dining

James Wilson

Booked a weekend here and came away wishing we’d stayed longer. Monferrato turned out to be a great spot for getting into the Langhe and Asti, and it’s no hassle from Milan.

The spa was the standout for us — heated pool, a sauna with an actual view, and quiet the whole time. Dinner at Locanda Sant’Uffizio was the kind you remember, very Piedmontese but not stuck in the past. We also did a Barbera tasting down in the cellar, which was a nice way to round off the night.

High-level corporate event in a unique setting

Camille Dupont

We ran a company event here and it went off without a hitch. The meeting rooms are well thought out and handled our group of about 50 fine. Staff were on it the whole time without hovering.

The sunset aperitif at the Pool Bar, hills in front of you, was the bit everyone talked about afterwards. Food was excellent across the board, from the bistrot up to the Michelin restaurant. Easy to get to from both Turin and Milan, which kept the logistics simple.

Outstanding culinary experience

Juliette Mercier

The food’s the main event, really. Locanda Sant’Uffizio gives you the full Michelin treatment, while the bistrot does proper traditional dishes done well.

We worked through a fair few Piedmontese specialities and some very good desserts. The cellar’s worth a look too, heavy on local labels. If you’re into food and wine, this is your kind of place.
