Its name, derived from the Latin Morus—meaning mulberry—pays homage to the heritage of the estate and the ancient monastic tradition of silk farming, practiced for centuries by the friars within the convent’s attics. This subtle nod to its roots translates today into a vibrant and exclusive setting, where the pleasure of social gathering seamlessly merges with the art of contemporary mixology.
Warm, tactile tones, bespoke details, and enveloping atmospheres welcome guests into an intimate yet sophisticated shared space, designed to slow down time and indulge in a signature drink list. The centrepiece of the lounge is the elegant bar counter, a masterpiece of fine craftsmanship: the premium veined marble top meets a front facade adorned with geometric panels in deep shades of burgundy and wine. Behind it, beneath a dramatic barrel vault, a refined backlit onyx backbar showcases an exceptional selection of rare spirits, liqueurs, and distillates, while delicate botanical frescoes adorn the walls, evoking a discreet and soothing elegance.
The heart of the bar opens effortlessly onto the new Glass Pavilion, an elegant winter garden crafted from glass and metal that blurs the boundaries between indoors and out. Here, expansive glass windows offer panoramic views of the enchanting private park, creating an extraordinary contrast between the intimate twilight of the bar and the warm, natural light of the conservatory. The interior design dialogues harmoniously with the surrounding nature: large, semi-circular modular sofas and enveloping armchairs, upholstered in a refined sage green fabric with contrasting piping, mirror the nuances of the outdoor greenery.
