The Nymphaeum

The Nymphaeum of Villa York, the evocative heart of the estate, is available for exclusive use together with the Villa and its splendid gardens. A unique setting in Rome for outdoor events, symbolic ceremonies and visually stunning shows.

A significant example of Roman Baroque architecture, it was commissioned by Marquis Zenobio Baldinotti in 1675 and designed by Roman architect Giovanni De Rossi.
Accessible via a monumental original stone staircase, it is a distinctive feature of Rome’s historical and architectural heritage and offers a spectacular setting in the heart of the Valle dei Casali.
This structure, typical of ancient Roman villas, was used as a space dedicated to relaxation, entertainment and social and cultural events such as meetings between nobles, banquets, theatrical or musical performances.
Today, as then, the nymphaeum of Villa York is a space steeped in history and extraordinary elegance, a place that retains its rare beauty and symbolic value unchanged.
Meticulously restored and immersed in the magic of an atmosphere suspended in time, it is the ideal setting for celebrating unique occasions: fashion shows, prestigious events, concerts, standing cocktail parties, ceremonies and symbolic events.
